WANT TO LEARN ABOUT HORSES?

The lesson program at Hidden Creek emphasizes personal attention and customization to student interests.

HCHF is inter-disciplinary, offering private and semi-private lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced English riders, hunter/jumper and eventing, and beginning and intermediate Western riders.

Lessons take place in a large sand arena with a variety of jumps, barrels, poles, and dressage letters. Parents and guests can observe lessons from our ring-side bleachers, and LED stadium lights allow for night riding into the dark winter months.

Private Lessons:

Enjoy one-on-one instruction with a trainer in a friendly, low-pressure atmosphere. All riders new to HCHF start with a private lesson, regardless of riding experience.

Semi-Private Lessons:

This lesson includes two or more people. Learn from each other and enjoy friendships as you each work toward common goals. This option is only available if there are other students and horses available during your lesson slot.

Please note that lesson times include grooming, tacking, warm-up, cool-down (on or off the horse), untacking, and after-ride care.

"Newbie" Lesson Package- $140 for 4 weeks
This 4-week package is for beginners, and it is an introduction to horses and an opportunity for someone to find out whether or not horses are for them. Lessons start on the ground and include basic horsemanship, handling, grooming, preparing to ride, riding and putting away the horse. Following the first four weeks, additional lessons would be at the standard rate above. This package makes a great gift!

Dress Code

For their safety, students must obtain their own horse riding helmet fitted to their head (bike or skating helmets are not rated for horse riding and will not be allowed), and boots with a low heel.

We also ask students to wear a collared shirt and wear hair pulled back in an elastic. No dangle jewelry, necklaces or bracelets. No hard candy or chewing gum.

Lessons for all ages will include groundwork, horse care, and horsemanship with an emphasis on solid fundamentals, good technique, safety and fun.

Currently, our lesson program is full with a waiting list. We are sorry we don't have better news!

Please watch our Facebook page for announcements about lesson slot openings.
