Star (Royal Hotel) was born on April 26, 1990 in Oklahoma.  He is the mirror image of his grandfather, the famous race horse Alydar. Star was raced for several years but was eventually sent to auction. He wound up at a sale barn in Blairstown, NJ where Bob purchased Star for Anne as a birthday present in 1997.  Star had been neglected and was in very poor shape, but after years of love and wonderful care he blossomed into a very magnificent and handsome horse.  Truly a diamond in the rough, Star is one of a kind; loving everyone and everything.      When Anne started to ride gaited horses, Bob took over Star and began his training for polo. He is an extremely fast and agile polo horse and a favorite on the field with his flashy appearance.  Bob and Star enjoy playing the polo circuit from March through October every year together.
