Anne and Bob Kusmich moved to Union Township, NJ in 2001. Presently
they are living on the farm with their youngest son, Rob. Their
daughter Ashley is also living on the farm with her family, which
includes Anne and Bob’s first grandson. The couple enjoy their
small boarding business as well as keeping their own horses in their
back yard.

The property, situated on 27 acres of beautiful, flat and wooded land, was the perfect spot. Where only a house once stood they added 7 pastures, a 200 x 100 foot lighted outdoor riding arena, and a 10 stall barn. The barn boasts nine 12 x 12 stalls with dutch doors, a foaling stall, feed room, heated bathroom and lounge, hot and cold water wash stall, a nice size tack room, and an outside porch. The entire upstairs of the barn is a full hay loft, which Anne (being Italian) insists on keeping filled with hay for the horses.
Anne has been involved with horses since she was a teen, and even as a small child, was hooked. Going from english to western pleasure to basic trail riding, she came to love gaited horses over the years because of their wonderful, smooth gaits. Owning peruvian pasos, and now tennessee walking horses, she loves to trail ride.
Bob always loved horses and the idea of farm living, but really started his involvement with horses after buying Anne her first horse, Star, for her 40th birthday. After losing Anne to the barn for a few months, he decided he had better join her. Bob started riding Star, and that was when they knew they needed another horse. Soon both were riding together, and the rest is history.
Bob began a love for polo many, many years ago, which he shared with Anne on many of their early dates together. Once Bob started to ride, he decided to learn more about polo. After reading books and watching tapes, he began to use Star out in the fields, playing polo by himself and getting Star use to the mechanics of the game. Soon Bob was attending an away clinic for polo, loving every minute of it. Bob joined the Tinicum Polo Club and has been playing polo for several years now |
